Terms of Engagement

The nutrition practitioner and the client agree as follows:

  1. The services supplied by the nutrition practitioner aim to support the client based on the information the client provides, and if relevant the results of any functional tests undertaken.
  2. Based on the information provided by the client along with the results of any applicable tests, the nutrition practitioner will produce a tailored ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ to support the needs identified and agreed with the client.
  3. For the avoidance of doubt, the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ incorporates all relevant advice including dietary, lifestyle and supplements.
  4. The nutrition practitioner does not diagnose medical or mental health conditions.
  5. The nutrition practitioner does not claim to treat any medical or mental health conditions.
  6. The advice given by the nutrition practitioner and the guidance written in the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ are not a substitute for professional medical advice and treatment.
  7. The client is responsible for contacting their GP or specialist about their physical or mental health concerns.
  8. The client is responsible for ensuring their GP, specialist and other complementary medical practitioners are fully aware of the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ they will be following.
  9. The client is responsible for ensuring they advise their nutrition practitioner about any medical diagnosis they have received.
  10. The client is responsible for ensuring they advise their nutrition practitioner about any prescription medication, herbal medicine, food supplements, over the counter medication they are taking, and/or any surgery they are due to undergo, as these may affect the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’.
  11. In the case of surgery, if the client is unaware of an impending surgery at the time of their appointment, but later becomes aware that they require surgery and it falls within the timeframe of their ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’, or within 4 weeks of the expiry date of the timeframe of the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’, the client is responsible for notifying their nutrition practitioner as soon as possible, as well as informing their surgeon of the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ they are or have been following.
  12. The ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ will have a ‘timeframe’, and the client must not continue with the recommendations given in the plan beyond the specified timeframe, unless agreed in writing with their nutrition practitioner.
  13. In the case of medication, if the client’s medication is changed after receiving their naturopathic nutrition plan, and they are still following the plan or taking any supplements recommended on the plan, or their medications have been changed within the ‘timeframe’ of the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’, the client is responsible for notifying their nutrition practitioner as soon as possible, as well as informing their surgeon, specialist or GP of the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ they are or have been following.
  14. The client is responsible for answering all of the questions raised by their nutrition practitioner as honestly as possible, and to the best of their ability.
  15. If the client is unclear about any part of the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’, they should contact their nutrition practitioner immediately for clarification.
  16. The client understands that the suggestions in the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ are personal to them and may not be appropriate for others.
  17. The client acknowledges that the recommendations provided in the ‘naturopathic nutrition plan’ are based on available evidence, which from a natural medicine perspective, can often be more limited compared to pharmaceutical based treatments that are typically supported and funded by large corporations. Therefore, the evidence supporting natural solutions may be less extensive than that for pharmaceutical approaches. Consequently, and where relevant it is the client’s informed choice to pursue a natural approach instead of a pharmaceutical option. The client hereby agrees to absolve the nutrition practitioner of any, and all liability regarding the choices they have made to follow a naturopathic based approach.
  18. The client agrees that the recording and/or sharing of zoom/google meet/telephone consultations between the nutrition practitioner and the client, and/or the sharing of NatNutHC materials and information is not permitted.
  19. The client agrees that all content provided to them by NatNutHC will not be reproduced or shared with any other party.
  20. The client agrees to make payment in full at the time of booking each appointment, except where a payment plan option is available, and the client has paid a deposit. In the case of a payment plan, the client must pay the required deposit at time of booking and must pay their interim payments as outlined in our payment plan options/terms specified on their invoice or in their stripe payment link. If the invoice terms differ from that on our website, the invoice terms supersede those of the website. If a coupon code has been used during purchase, and a payment plan is also being used, the discount is deducted from the client’s final payment. If interim payments, in respect of a payment plan are not paid on time, the nutrition practitioner reserves the right to cancel all future appointments and/or put the plan on hold until payments as requested are paid. If the client, repeatedly does not pay their instalments on time, the nutrition practitioner reserves the right to cancel all future appointments and/or put the plan on hold until all instalments are paid in full.
  21. The client agrees to be available for their appointments at the agreed start time. If they are late, the duration of their appointment may be unavoidably reduced due to commitments to other clients that may be booked in after.
  22. The client agrees that a minimum of 72-working-hours notice is required to reschedule any appointment. Please note the 72-working-hour period excludes the period between 17:01 on a Friday and 08:59 on a Monday e.g. if notice is given at 12.01 on a Friday, 5-hours will be accounted for on the Friday, but the remaining 67-hours will not start again until 09:00 on the Monday morning.
  23. The client agrees that the full cost of their appointment will be lost if they do not attend a scheduled appointment or if they request to reschedule with less than 72-working-hours notice. Where a missed appointment was part of a larger programme or plan e.g. a Health Reset Plan, the client accepts that the appointment missed will be forfeited or will need to be re-booked and paid in full before it can be rescheduled.
  24. The client agrees that if they book a programme or plan, and decide to reschedule or not attend their initial 90 minute health assessment, and do not provide sufficient notice of the requested cancellation or reschedule that they will forfeit 3x of the check-in appointments that are part of that plan to enable the 90 minute initial appointment to be rescheduled.
  25. The client accepts that a Health Reset Plan or other programme is designed to take them on a health journey and thus maintaining regular contact/attending their check-in appointments every 2 – 8 weeks based on the nutrition practitioners recommendations is key to achieving results and benefits from the programme. Regular contact ensures momentum and accountability, which is part of the process. Therefore, while there is no set timeframe, it is anticipated that health reset plans are usually completed within a 6 to 12 month period. The nutrition practitioner therefore reserves the right to apply discretion and cancel a programme without a refund should a client be seen to be mis-using a health reset plan for anything other than this and thus dragging their appointments out over a much longer period.
  26. If a follow-up appointment, check in, supplement review or interim appointment is booked and the client has not previously seen us for a full health assessment as part of one of our health transformation programmes or health reset plans, the client agrees that they will need to upgrade to a programme/plan that includes a full health assessment. The additional cost of the programme/plan upgraded too will need to be paid 72-working hours before the appointment. Failure to pay the upgraded fee in the specified time will result in the original appointment being cancelled and a refund applied less a 15% administration charge. If the client does not wish to upgrade, a refund will be provided less a 15% administration charge.
  27. While ‘contact between appointments’ is included in the NatNutHC programmes/plans, these are at the discretion of the practitioner and are usually used for emergency contact or clarification matters between appointments such as if a clients medication has been changed or their circumstances have changed such as a new diagnosis for example, or if the client has a quick question related to their supplement and nutrition plan. The practitioner therefore reserves the right to request that a query/clarification between appointments is discussed at the clients next scheduled appointment, or that a new appointment be made to discuss the query.
  28. Where a test interpretation service has been booked, the client agrees that these services are only for tests that have been sourced via NatNutHC, except where the service is for blood test interpretation. From time to time, we may provide test interpretation services for tests not sourced via NatNutHC, but only following initial agreement to ensure we are happy with the test you have undertaken. If a client has booked a test interpretation service, and the test has NOT been sourced via NatNutHC and the client has not first obtained confirmation that NatNutHC is happy to interpret the test a full refund will be provided less a 15% administration charge.
  29. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they undertake any tests included in a programme/plan, purchased individually or otherwise recommended, including the following of instructions included with their test and sending of their sample(s) back to the laboratory as per the test instructions. All tests must be completed within 3-months of booking/purchase and a follow-up/check-in appointment/test interpretation service (where required) scheduled within 1-month of the test results being received. Failure to comply may deem results no longer relevant, resulting in the need for tests to be re-run and repaid for.
  30. Where a client purchases a blood test product, they accept that the blood draw is a separate service provided by an external phlebotomist. It is the client’s responsibility to book their blood draw service with a phlebotomist, who will likely charge for this service. The client accepts this as an additional service at an additional cost that they will arrange and pay for separately.
  31. Test prices quoted by NatNutHC may include an additional fee to cover the nutrition practitioners time to interpret the tests results and feed them back to the client.
  32. In some instances it may be necessary to obtain a copy of past recent bloods or other investigations from your GP. If the client does not wish to pay for private testing, then obtaining any blood test results or other investigations may be critical to the advise being given by the nutrition practitioner. If this is necessary, the client accepts that it is their responsibility to obtain these results and provide them to the nutrition practitioner. Further, the client accepts that not providing these results may delay the ability of the nutrition practitioner to provide their advise and move forward with a plan/programme.
  33. Where a test interpretation service or nutrition power half-hour has been booked, it is important to note that these appointments do not include personalised dietary, lifestyle and supplement advice. When booking these appointments, the client would not normally have received a NatNutHC in-depth health assessment, therefore a personalised and holistic approach with personalised written advice cannot be provided and the client hereby fully accepts this. The test interpretation and nutrition power half-hour appointments are intended to provide verbal general advice or advice specific to the results seen on the test results and do not take the bigger picture of the client’s health, symptoms, past medical history and medications into account. For personalised nutritional support tailored to your specific and holistic needs that include a detailed health assessment, please see our health reset plans.
  34. Our test interpretation services do not provide medical diagnosis, and do not replace the advice of that given by a qualified doctor. A copy of your test results should always be sent to your registered general practitioner for their information and filing with your general medical records.
  35. Interim calls differ from check-in appointments. Interim calls are for verbal discussions only, unlike check-in appointments that include a written update to a client’s nutrition and supplement plan and referral letters where appropriate.
  36. The nutrition practitioner may recommend supplements or testing to a client, and as a result is often able to pass onto the client a discount code or a referral link which may include money off offers. In some instances, the use of a discount code, referral link or certain tests may result in the nutrition practitioner receiving a commission for each purchase made by the client. The nutritional practitioner uses a variety of supplement brands and tests, and always recommends those best suited to the individual client need. The choice of supplements/tests recommended is never influenced by a potential commission, and in any case the client is always passed a discount off the retail price where it is possible to do so.
  37. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have a working internet connection for online appointments. For the avoidance of doubt, this relates to appointments associated to a health transformation programme, health reset plan, a test interpretation service, a nutrition power half-hour, an interim call and any check-in or follow-up appointment.
  38. NatNutHC operates a no-refund policy on all appointments and on all test product purchases. We may however, consider an individual’s extenuating circumstances from time to time for missed or cancelled appointments. Where we do agree to provide a refund due to extenuating circumstances we will charge a 15% administration fee.
  39. The nutrition practitioner reserves the right to reschedule any appointment without notice.
  40. The nutrition practitioner reserves the right to decline to provide services to a client, for any reason, and where relevant will refund any amounts pre-paid by the client for services not yet received.
  41. All appointments will be held in the English language.
  42. From time to time NatNutHC may release promotional discount/coupon codes. Discount/coupon codes are at the discretion of NatNutHC, who reserves the right to determine the packages and appointments that each code is applicable to and/or withdraw any discount/coupon code at any time for any reason.
